About the role
We are currently seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Partner to join our P&C Team.
As a key point of contact for people expertise, this role is crucial in translating our strategic vision into practical, everyday realities.
Working collaboratively with stakeholders within your client group, you will design and implement strategies that drive optimal workforce performance in alignment with the company's strategic goals and people policies.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will work with a team of fantastic P&C practitioners, and you will be supported by a HR Advisor.

This role is based in Thomastown, VIC and at times will be required to travel to other Branches across Australia / New Zealand.

Your responsibilities:
Partner with the business on workforce planning, succession planning and skills development.
Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continuous improvements in business objectives and productivity.
Assist in the development of strategies that attract, develop and retain talent to deliver on the strategic objectives of the business.
Manage the workforce impact of transformational change to ensure business continuity by supporting managers and employees through change processes.
Drive continuous improvement of HR practices, utilising best practice to inform decisions.
Provide expert advice on ER and IR matters.
Provide management coaching to managers and senior leaders.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline, or relevant experience.
Strong business and commercial acumen.
IR / ER experience and ideally within a workforce represented by blue and white collar employees.
Ability to give accurate and timely advice on HR policies and procedures.
Strong understanding of the Australian and or New Zealand Legislative framework.
Highly developed listening and communication skills along with the ability to influence and negotiate.
Discretion, diplomacy and confidentiality.
