Customer Service AssistantExciting opportunity to join a vibrant and busy regional NSW council$61.9k to $68.5k plus superannuationAssist in meeting Council priorities and organisational goalsPermanent Full-time opportunityOngoing training and supportAbout CouncilAt Narrabri Shire Council, we are dedicated to enriching our community's lives by providing professional, friendly customer service.As Council's first point of contact, you will provide friendly and efficient customer service, conveying our corporate values to the community through your dealings with them.About the Role :As a Customer Service Assistant, this position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about customer service, excel in problem-solving, and are committed to delivering the best possible experience to our community.Your responsibilities will include :Providing professional customer service, including front counter interactions, call centre operations, and telephone mannerAssisting with daily Council inbox requests, capturing and responding to requests, and distributing them to relevant Council officersAssisting with daily mail dutiesProviding timely and accurate information, both verbally and in writing, in accordance with legislation, Council Policy, protocol, and proceduresExercising appropriate discretion, sensitivity, and maintaining confidentiality as requiredTaking ownership of customer matters and issues and ensuring follow-up through to resolutionAbout You :The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent intrapersonal and communication skills, a friendly nature, and a keen eye for accuracy in administrative tasks, order processing, and cash handling.If you are a people person who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect role for you
