Chief Executive Officer L Director Regional Development

Regional Development Australia Barossa Gawler Light Adelaide Plains is searching for a Chief Executive/ Director of Regional Development to lead their professional team and connect Federal, State and local government agencies, community organisations, business, and individuals to work together on growing economic opportunity for the Region.
The role offers a blend of strategy development and evaluation, along with operational delivery of existing and innovative new programs within the region.
You will provide the RDA Board strategic and management advice and support the Board to achieve outcomes consistent with the annual business plan and budget.
You will ensure that strong alliances, partnerships, and networks are grown and sustained, while providing leadership and best practice thinking at industry forums, committees and working groups.
You will be expected to develop, manage, and monitor all key result areas to ensure appropriate policies and practices are in place to support sustainable economic development and ongoing systems improvement.
It's a role that offers abundant autonomy, variety and challenge, while providing the opportunity for you to flex your full range of strategic and leadership skills.
The role is based in the heart of the region, at Beckwith Business Park, Nuriootpa.
About You You will have a track record of success in developing, implementing and executing project, strategic and business plans that achieve organisational outcomes on-time and on-budget.
You'll bring expert knowledge, understanding and experience in working with governments supported by a sound understanding of government policy and an ability to translate this into economic development opportunities.
And you'll enjoy exercising your highly developed communication and interpersonal skills; your ability to negotiate with individuals and groups; and relish the chance to develop and manage a broad range of stakeholders.
