Due to strong growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, Mott MacDonald's Building team has an opening for a Principal Facade Engineering Professional in the Sydney office.
You will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering major projects across Australia.
As a Facade Engineer in the built environment space, you will manage and deliver façade projects in a technically competent and timely manner.
Your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing specialist contractor submissions.Fostering and maintaining strong client relationships with new and existing clients, architects, and contractors.Developing façade documentation and specifications to a high level of quality.Contributing to bid writing and the winning of work.Supervising and mentoring other design staff, checking and approving documentation for issue.About You Chartered Engineer with a degree in civil/structural engineering or a related field.
Significant experience within façade design with particular emphasis on:
The structural aspects of façade design, durability, material selection, and design for weathertightness.Working knowledge of structural analysis software (preferably Strand 7).High level of design creativity with the ability to develop technically robust façade concepts while maintaining a strong focus on the design intent.Commercial awareness with the ability to successfully lead façade projects through all phases whilst managing and developing strong client relationships.Mott MacDonald celebrates diversity and inclusion, offering a supportive work environment that values work-life balance, diversity, inclusion, and equity.
