Position Details: Permanent position Full time (76 hours per fortnight) Managers and Administrative Worker Grade 2 Level 1 (HS2) Alfred Health location Great staff benefits The Department: Alfred Health Radiation Oncology (AHRO) is a unit of a comprehensive cancer service, with sites located at The Alfred - Melbourne (ARO) and Gippsland Radiation Oncology (GRO) at Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH) - Traralgon.
The service provides the full range of general radiation oncology and radiation therapy services in addition to some specialised services with both state and national significance.
The Role: The Booking Coordinator is responsible for scheduling patient Radiation Oncology appointments related to radiotherapy treatment at ARO.
The position involves coordinating booking requests received from Radiation Oncologists and Therapists with a view to ensuring efficient and effective patient scheduling.
In so doing, the incumbent is expected to liaise and work closely with patients and carers, the multidisciplinary cancer team at Alfred, Radiation Oncology staff and at times the Radiation Oncology staff at GRO.
