Aircraft Technician | Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Location: Richmond, NSW
About the Opportunity We are currently seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our Richmond based maintenance team in permanent full-time positions.
Airbus in Australia Pacific is the leading contractor for the RAAF fleet of 12 C130J Hercules transport aircraft.
Our AME team members are responsible for carrying out inspection, testing, repair, modification, and installation of aircraft hydro-mechanical and flight system components, and aircraft engines subassemblies and components in a heavy maintenance environment.
You will work within your competency and authorisation to contribute to the achievement of aircraft maintenance targets and may be assigned to a number of other maintenance projects undertaken by Airbus within the facility.
About You As a key member of the Richmond Maintenance Team, you will work closely with a large and inclusive team of technical experts focused on success.
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment.
You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously, to tight deadlines, and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.
The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role would include:
Cert IV in Aeroskills or equivalent issued by a Registered Training Organisation Ability to obtain a Military Aircraft Maintenance License (MAML) High-Level aviation airworthiness regulatory knowledge and its applicability in the relevant environment Understanding of relevant aircraft maintenance documentation and practices Knowledge of and experience using Interactive Electronic Technical Publications High-level communication skills, both verbal and written High-level computer skills in Microsoft Office applications Applicants must be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment medical screening which may include drug and alcohol testing.
Salary You will be employed under the Airbus Australia Pacific (Richmond) Enterprise Agreement 2023 with a salary ranging from $91,823 - $110,126 depending on the level of experience.

Airbus also operates an MRO business for rotary and fixed-wing military aircraft in New Zealand.
This covers aircraft operated by the New Zealand Defence Force, such as the C-130H and P-3K Orion.
The New Zealand Defence Force operates eight NH90 helicopters successfully supporting disaster relief, search and rescue, and law enforcement operations.
In the civil and parapublic segments, there are around 700 Airbus helicopters in service in the Asia Pacific region from across the product line.
