Job Title: Junior Accountant (Casual/Part-time Position)

Who we are: VCFO Accountants offer high-skill assistance in accounting services to small and medium businesses, specializing in delivering CFO services to businesses that normally do not have the resources to hire a full-time CFO.
We provide a one-stop shop for all of your tax and compliance needs.
Job Overview: We are seeking a Junior Accountant for a casual position, available to work 2-3 days per week.
As a Junior Accountant, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a casual role tailored for university students in the final strides of their degrees.
Dive into the world of tax returns, financial transactions, and report analysis, all while championing the growth of our clients.
If you're meticulous, adept at multitasking, and driven by a passion to nurture the financial health of burgeoning businesses, your contribution will be invaluable.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with taxation legislation.
Perform routine entries and post financial transactions to the general ledger.
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist in the preparation of monthly & quarterly activity statements.
Help with budget preparation and budget reviews.
Analyse financial data and create reports for management.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Qualifications:
Currently studying a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce in their final or penultimate year at university.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
May have some experience with Xero (not essential).
Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Passionate about supporting small to medium businesses.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
A willingness to learn and to be part of a team.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
