Line 2 Risk Manager- Incidents And Breach Reporting

Hybrid work arrangements | Melbourne or Sydney CBD Initial contract with potential of permanence Guide and advise line 1 on all incident, breach and regulatory reporting matters About the Role Our client is a large financial services organisation with a head office in Australia.
Reporting directly to the CRO this role will work across the 1st line risk team and broader business.
It will support and guide the business on all incident management, complaints handling, breach assessment and regulatory reporting requirements.
Deep experience in RG 78 and RG 271 regulatory requirements, processes and practices is required with a background in funds management and/or the superannuation industry.
Key Responsibilities: Direct the management of incidents, including compliance breaches, ensuring they are handled in line with established policies, procedures, and RG 78 and RG 271 requirements; Review and evaluate incidents referred by 1st Line, complete breach assessments and prepare information required for breach reporting to the relevant regulator; Partner with business stakeholders to guide the timely conduct of incident management, complaints handling and breach reporting processes; Provide expert guidance and training to improve the quality and effectiveness of incident management and reporting processes; Give advice concerning root cause analysis and whether escalation is required; Collaborate with the Enterprise Risk team to gather information and lodge reports to meet ASIC Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) data reporting requirements; AND Provide specialist risk and compliance guidance across the business and third-party providers regarding incident management and breach reporting obligations; Technical Skills & Qualifications required include: Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Governance, Legal or related fields is essential; Demonstrated 8+ years' experience in a Line 2 risk and compliance position within superannuation or funds management; Prior experience in RG 78 and RG 271 regulatory requirements, processes and practices is required; Deliver realistic compliance guidance supported with regulatory requirements and the organisation's risk tolerance; AND Excellent communication – both verbal and written, attention to detail, stakeholder management and reporting skills.
