We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer – Back end with deep technical expertise in Java , Kafka , and Microservice architectures for multi-tenant cloud-based (AWS) SaaS solutions.
As Principal Engineer, you will spearhead the design and development of our SaaS solution, focusing on authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms to ensure robust and compliant systems.
You will work with modern technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and innovative solutions that address the challenges of today and tomorrow.

What You'll Do:
Technical Leadership: Work closely with the architecture team to deliver a scalable, reliable, and secure solution for the SaaS platform.
Authentication & Authorization: Implement secure identity management solutions, including permissions, roles, and fine-grained access control systems, ensuring industry compliance.
Microservices Architecture: Build on and implement robust, event-driven microservices using Java, Kafka, and modern frameworks.
Event-Driven Systems: Drive the adoption and optimization of pub/sub and messaging systems to enable real-time, scalable applications.
Collaboration: Partner with Product, Architecture, Engineering, and Design teams to deliver innovative technical solutions that meet business goals.
Standards & Best Practices: Establish best practices in secure coding, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
Mentor and Inspire: Foster a culture of continuous learning by mentoring engineers and sharing knowledge across squads.
About You:

Key Skills and Experience:
Extensive Back-end Experience and Qualifications: 4+ years' experience as a Principal Engineer, with 7+ years' experience in Java and Spring Boot, with a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
Public Cloud Experience: 5+ years' experience using AWS and AWS services such as IAM, EC2, S3, API Gateway.
Modern, scalable architecture: Strong experience in Event-driven architectures (ideally Kafka), Microservices, and designing high quality scalable solutions.
Containerization and orchestration: Strong experience working in containerized environments like Kubernetes.
Databases: Experience creating highly performant relational and NoSQL database designs, data modeling, and use of ORMs, like JPA.
Modern engineering principles and practices: You build highly automated solutions that require minimal manual effort through automated testing and CI/CD tools (with IaC such as Terraform and CloudFormation) and DevSecOps principles and Agile ways of working, with a real passion for quality, security, and continuous improvement.
Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional communicator who can work with technical and non-technical people and influence stakeholders.
Strategic Thinker: Define and execute comprehensive engineering strategies that deliver best-in-class, scalable solutions.
