Project Engineers And Contract Managers

Dommar is a long-standing South Australian company with over 35 years of proven experience in Construction Project / Contract Management. We require a number of suitably qualified Project Engineers and Contract Managers to work with our Tier One Client on various large Major Road / Tunnel / Marine Infrastructure Projects. Positions are available full-time either in Adelaide CBD or Regional Port Augusta, South Australia.
We are looking for professionals with tertiary qualifications in engineering, project / contract management, or similar, with a minimum of 3 to 10 years of experience in the delivery of Major Road, Tunnel, and Marine Infrastructure Projects. Several positions are available for either Project Engineers or Contract Managers with an immediate start offered, with a minimum engagement of 12 to 24 months and potentially ongoing indefinitely as new project extension works arise. Tasks and duties for the position of Project Engineers and Contract Managers include: Working with Dommar as part of the Superintendent's Team to support management and delivery of stakeholders and construction contractors for Major Road, Tunnel, and Marine Infrastructure Projects, or a program of works related to roads ranging in value from $0.5m to $25m plus.Project Engineering experience to direct and/or supervise works, demonstrating professional, technical, and commercial acumen with a focus on safety, community, public, and environmental management, along with strong team leadership and effective communication/documentation skills.Risk management and mitigation through planning, design, and construction delivery using proven best practice methods and systems.Leading multi-discipline teams, managing and coordinating contractual and financial matters, including preparation of contracts, tendering, award, approvals, costs, time, and quality management.Contract (Commercial) Management of project budgets and procurement with appropriate cost controls and adherence to critical contractual time frames.Conducting regular project health checks and reporting at various levels.Proven project delivery experience with strong negotiation and communication skills with relevant stakeholders and construction contractors, focusing on team assistance and mentoring to ensure positive delivery outcomes.Experience with delivery of road infrastructure projects using Multi-Party Alliance Contracting is beneficial.Ability to manage and engage across complex internal and external stakeholders, including local communities and businesses, to negotiate mutually acceptable outcomes.Only candidates with relevant experience in the delivery of Major Road, Tunnel, and Marine Infrastructure Projects, and proficiency in using Australian Standards for technical and/or contractual delivery of the projects/works (ideally including the use of Alliancing contractual delivery frameworks) need apply.
