Our financial services client is looking for their first Data Architect as they continue to scale the team.
Here you'll utilise modern data platforms and methodologies to unlock the full potential of enterprise data assets.
About the Role As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, and visualising data models and solutions that drive strategic business outcomes.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll enable advanced analytics, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities Design and deliver data solutions, including Azure-based platforms, client reporting, and business intelligence products.
Translate complex business requirements into high-value data models and architecture.
Analyse and document current and future-state data architecture, identifying gaps and opportunities.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data assets, including data standards and classifications.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, business stakeholders, and other architects to support enterprise goals.
Apply industry best practices for data governance, quality, and management    Skills and Experience Proven experience in data architecture and related fields, such as Big Data, Data Modelling, and Data Warehousing.
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
Expertise in modern data architecture concepts, including data lakes, data warehouses, and dimensional modelling.
Strong understanding of data governance and data management principles.
Experience working in Agile teams and using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience within the financial services sector is desirable.
