Randstad has partnered with one of the largest State Government Departments to fill a temporary position in a finance division as a Payroll Officer.Due to continued growth, our client based in Joondalup is looking for a candidate to join their team in the second week of January
To be considered, please apply through this ad; if shortlisted, you will receive a phone call from a consultant.Job details below,- Start date in January (ASAP)- JOONDALUP North the River- State Government department- 3-6 month temp assignment with possible extension- Roughly $50-55 an hour + Super.
State Gov level 3- Full time 7.5 hours a day, 38 hours a weekDuties Provides operational support for the department's payroll services including:Authorises, processes, and responds to complex payroll issues.Processes payroll variations into the computerised payroll system according to payroll deadlines.Ensures practices and procedures comply with relevant industrial agreements.Conducts leave audits, checks and processes leave entitlement transfers and arranges for the transfer of funds for this leave.Liaises with managers and clients, providing advice and support on the application of industrial awards and agreements as they pertain to employee pay-related entitlements.Investigates and responds to payroll issues and enquiries as required.Provides information as requested to authorised external agencies.Supports team members through coaching, transferring payroll knowledge and encouraging self-development.Maintains appropriate and accurate records for all processes and transactions.Good experience in a payroll environment and competencies aligned to the work-related requirements.Knowledge and experience in the application of legislation and guidelines in public sector human resource management, especially in payroll and remuneration management.Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability, including the ability to analyse information and communicate recommendations based on analysis.What's in it for you?
