We are on the hunt for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Procurement team based in our Crows Nest office.
This role is responsible for developing, validating, communicating, and implementing raw material specific sourcing strategies that provide competitive advantage and deliver the highest overall benefit to business results.
Through the use of the Strategic Sourcing process, this position will drive value add, process improvement, and innovation opportunities across Raw Materials.
About your roleLead strategic sourcing for Raw Materials, ensuring competitive, optimized procurement aligned with business goals.Manage supplier selection, risk assessment, and performance, ensuring compliance with KPIs and procurement policies.Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, optimize supply, and enhance category management.Drive demand and risk management strategies to ensure cost efficiency and supply security.Collaborate with R&D to optimize raw material use and minimize working capital requirements.Support and implement responsible sourcing and sustainability initiatives across supply chains.Align procurement strategies with business objectives, fostering effective communication and collaboration.Identify and implement supply chain improvements for greater efficiency and performance.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, addressing risks proactively.Monitor and report procurement performance, ensuring alignment with processes and objectives.What will help you succeed Approximately 3-5 years' experience in a similar role (years are less important than skillset and alignment with our values).Excellent stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.Excellent communication skills (written and oral), high-level interpersonal skills, and sound judgment.A strong team player, ready to be part of our pack, working collaboratively and cross-functionally.Technical Raw Materials experience.Strong financial acumen – key business drivers, budgeting, and forecasting.Good understanding of legal systems, processes, and supply agreements.Demonstrated successful use of TCO analysis, risk management, responsible sourcing, and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).Strong understanding of the value chain in an FMCG or manufacturing environment, plan, source, make, deliver.Passionate about sustainability and the prosperity we can deliver to people, pets, and our planet.What we're aboutWelcome to RPF, where we believe in keeping it Real.
