As a result, Hickory has become one of the most diverse property companies in Australia.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Site Supervisor assumes a pivotal role in Hickory's construction operations, overseeing critical facets that collectively contribute to a secure, efficient, and compliant construction environment.
Their responsibilities encompass ensuring safety measures are upheld, optimising resource utilisation for efficiency, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations culminating in the delivery of high-quality outcomes.WHAT HICKORY CAN OFFER Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a balanced work-life schedule with a standard 5-day work week.Continuous Career Advancement: Unlock your potential through ongoing career development and growth prospects.Employee Wellbeing: Access our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for valuable support and resources.Travel Perks: Benefit from exclusive travel perks, including discounted flights and hotel rates.Expert In-House Team: Collaborate with our dedicated structures and facades team.Family-Friendly Policies: Receive paid parental leave to support your family needs.Supportive Culture: Thrive in a nurturing team environment that values both collective and individual achievements.Diverse Opportunities: Gain exposure to a wide range of roles and industry leaders in our leading market company.RESPONSIBILITIESManage Daily Site Programming: Oversee the execution of daily site work in alignment with the Hickory construction program.Collaborative Project Oversight: Work closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and project team to plan and continually assess project progress.Resource Optimization: Efficiently manage site resources, including labor, machinery, materials, and subcontractors, to ensure timely project completion.Equipment Accountability: Ensure the prompt return of all hired-in equipment upon task completion.Documentation Management: Expedite the delivery of relevant documents from clients or authorities to the Project Manager.Variation Identification: Identify and document any potential contract variations, promptly notifying the Project Manager or Construction Manager.Quality Control: Enforce Hickory's quality control systems among site staff.Safety Compliance: Monitor site safety compliance, ensuring the use of appropriate safety equipment and promptly reporting unsafe conditions to the HSEQ Manager or Safety Representative.Team Development: Provide coaching and mentorship to direct reports to foster their professional growth.Delegation and Communication: Delegate tasks effectively to direct reports, ensuring clear communication for successful task execution.Industrial Harmony: Take necessary measures to maintain a harmonious working environment on site at all times.Training Participation: Actively engage in on-the-job training to support the development of team members.REQUIREMENTSExtensive Commercial Construction Background: A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in the commercial construction industry.Relevant Academic Qualifications: Possession of a degree in Building and Construction or a related field.Exceptional Time Management: Proficient time management skills to ensure efficient project execution.Negotiation and Relationship Expertise: Strong abilities in negotiation and the establishment of meaningful professional relationships.Outstanding Communication and Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong leadership capabilities.Proven Problem-Solving Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex challenges effectively.If this sounds like your next opportunity, we would love to hear from you as soon as possible
