The Port relies on this business to provide the best technical service support but also to lead the way to safety.
It goes without saying that each port requires something a little different but what is key is that cranes work 24/7 without failure.
This role will come down to you and your East Coast Service Teams.
You will review and support each crane and make sure it's fully functional all the time.
With Service and maintenance contractors only a phone call away and new equipment getting flown in from Europe and Asia you will also be required to look after new buildings and support the new equipment to the best of your ability.
Job Responsibilities – Manage and coordinate the service and maintenance activities for client's crane fleet, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and in optimal working condition Oversee the work of service technicians, providing guidance, training and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to maximise the uptime and reliability of cranes Monitor and analyse service performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions Manage workplace safety and ensure compliance Manage contractors and their compliance with safety procedures Ensure profitability of all Service Contracts is achieved in accordance with KPIs Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure we are delivering exceptional service Manage crane parts inventory and procurement process to ensure the availability of necessary components Contribute to the continuous improvement of our crane service operations Candidate requirements – Extensive experience in crane service and maintenance management, preferably with Port Handling equipment. Strong technical knowledge of crane systems and components, including hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of service technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and maintenance best practices Relevant qualifications in engineering, maintenance, or a related field are highly desirable Salary Package – $180,000 to $190,000 Car Allowance - $20,000 Super – 11.5% Company Uniform Phone & Laptop Interstate Travel Product training International Travel Apply – If you have read this ad and you feel you have the technical experience then we would love to hear from you.
