Staff Specialist - Anatomical Pathology (510263L1)Australia, TasThe Royal Hobart Hospital and Department of Anatomical Pathology is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for Staff Specialist – Anatomical Pathology vacancies.
Who are we? Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital and major referral centre.
As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH collaborates with the University of Tasmania and other institutions.
Participate in the Anatomical Pathology services provided by the department of Anatomical Pathology at the RHH.Undertake undergraduate teaching of medical students of the University of Tasmania.Provide supervision and training of postgraduate specialist trainees.Maintain involvement in research activities including supervision of research students.Monitor the effectiveness of the services provided to patients.Provide administrative functions to the unit as required.Work collaboratively with scientific staff and other health professionals.Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation's Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes.The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.A few of our benefits: Extensive salary packaging options with excellent leave benefits.Mentoring and support with an inclusive and well-respected team.Diverse specialist career pathways and professional development.Collaborative relationships with a range of professionals across multiple disciplines.Generous relocation support packages plus accommodation support.Employer visa sponsorship and support for families for overseas applicants.Details of Appointment Permanent, full-time day work (with on-call), working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.Fixed term, part-time day work (with on-call), working 38 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible until December 2025.Minimum Requirements: Holds specialist registration; orIs a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) on the specialist pathway.Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an IMG with a recognised overseas specialist qualification and assessed as having sufficient experience in the specialty.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
