Add expected salary to your profile for insightsMoec Pty Ltd is a growing construction contractor that offers pipeline construction and gas gathering services to our clients in the Mining and Oil & Gas Industries in the Surat and Bowen Basin and other sites across Australia.We are dedicated to achieving high standards of work with a focus on health, safety, environment, and quality.We are looking for qualified Project Engineers with Gas Gathering, Piping, or Buried Services Experience to work on our HDPE Gas Gathering Project in the Surat Basin.
This includes Civil, Welding, Live Excavations, Tie-ins, Testing, and Commissioning.Potentially 2-3 years of consistent work.In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our Senior Project Engineers with all facets, including but not limited to:Project Planning & Execution:Plan and schedule project delivery, ensuring it meets deadlines, budget constraints, quality standards, and safety protocols.Collaborate with the project manager and supervisors to develop and issue construction work packages that align with project scope and specifications.Material Management:Conduct material take-offs to determine material requirements.Procure construction materials in accordance with project needs.Project Monitoring & Reporting:Track and update project schedules to maintain progress visibility.Prepare daily and monthly reports to keep stakeholders informed.Quality Assurance & Subcontractor Management:Assist the project team in developing and reviewing quality assurance documents to guarantee compliance with contract specifications.Participate in subcontractor management, including coordinating hire agreements for plant and equipment.Contract & Scope Management:Estimate and submit variations to the contract scope of works, ensuring all changes are documented and approved.Professional Development:Commit to continuous learning by undertaking work-related training to enhance skills and advance your career.To be successful, you'll need:Technical Skills:Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering or a closely related field.Understanding of engineering calculations and the ability to check design deliverables (documents and drawings) for accuracy.Soft Skills:Enthusiasm and Drive: A high level of motivation and a strong desire to achieve positive results collaboratively.Problem-Solving and Analysis: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and overcome challenges effectively.Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities to build and maintain positive working relationships.Computer Skills:Proficiency in the MS Office suite and MS Project for efficient project management and communication.Additional requirements:A current driver's license and white card.Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety procedures.Availability to start work in the next 2-4 weeks and pass a pre-employment medical.Roster: 18 days on, 10 days off (paid travel on day 1 and day 10 of RnR).
