As a Speech Therapist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with communication disorders, speech impairments, and swallowing difficulties.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop individualised treatment plans to help clients improve their speech, language, and swallowing skills.
You will work closely with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve therapeutic goals and enhance quality of life.
Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.Develop individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings, client goals, and evidence-based practices.Provide therapy to clients to improve speech articulation, fluency, voice quality, receptive and expressive language skills, and social communication.Provide counselling and support to clients and their families to address emotional, social, and psychological aspects of communication disorders.Monitor client progress, document therapy sessions, and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.Provide Speech Therapy to Adults and/or Children.Experience with developmental delays and disorders, ASD, ADHD, Learning Difficulties, Genetic Conditions, Intellectual Disability and Syndromes (Preferred).Qualifications & Experience Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration as a Speech Pathologist.Demonstrated clinical or occupational rehabilitation experience including prescribing equipment and assistive technologies, home modifications, driving assessments and vehicle modification recommendations.
Experience in capacity building and improving functional independence.Compliance Checks Police CheckNDIS Worker CheckWWCCDriver's License.Location: Summer Hill, New South Wales, Australia
