Silver Edge Engineers develop and deliver data-driven asset management solutions for rail, port, mining and resources, critical infrastructure and future industries customers across Australia.Our Lead Rail Engineer is responsible for new business, maintaining customer relationships, project management, technical advisory and developing the capability of our team.Manage the engineering pipeline of work pursuing leads, developing the opportunities and securing contractsActive engagement with customers to understand their problems and develop solutions for their needsManage tendering and procurement activities including estimating, proposal writing, client document control, lead capture in our CRM databaseManage and lead the engineering team resources, providing technical advice and mentoringIntegrate engineering principles with data analysis - asset current condition, operations, maintenance and renewal activitiesLead root cause analysisCommercial management of projects including project forecasts, in accordance with company and customer requirementsProject management, ensuring time, cost, safety, quality, environmental performance expectations are metEngineering and technical advisory to all project stakeholdersComplying with all company and client safety obligations, policies and proceduresAbout YouYour drive to lead and develop the capabilities of those around you, will strengthen your team.Your personal engagement with customers will develop a clear understanding of their needs to solve their problems with tailored solutions.Your experience in infrastructure project delivery will lead you to success in this role.You will also have:15+ years' experience in a similar role as Rail SpecialistA degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a similar quantitative field eligible for Engineers Australia MembershipStrong verbal and written communication skillsInitiative to continuously develop the overall Silver Edge offeringPreferably, you will also have experience with:Maintaining and documenting work delivery or asset management processesRail maintenance practicesManagement and definition of rail defects and managing root cause analysisSkills in data analytics tools such as Power BIWhy Silver Edge?Solve challenging real-world problems in a multi-disciplined teamExposure to cutting-edge analytics and data-driven decision-making processes - visualisation, simulation, optimisation, AI/Machine LearningCollaboration with Australian and international partner organisations of IoT and emerging technologiesCareer progression and professional development in a growing businessCompetitive remuneration packagesTraining opportunities and membership with industry professional bodiesManagement approved flexible work optionsPerth CBD office with end of trip facilities, gym and day careOur CompanySilver Edge is a growing company and we can't wait to meet our new team members.
