Westgold Resources have an opportunity for a results-driven Senior Contracts Specialist to work in Perth Head office on a permanent full-time basis. This newly created position is the result of an increase in contract administration activity post-merger with Karora Resources.
Reporting into the General Manager of Commercial, the Senior Contracts Specialist will play a pivotal role in working with the commercial team to ensure contracts are established and administered in accordance with procedures, systems and Westgold standards.
About the opportunity Use leading contract administration practices to tender, negotiate and award goods and services contracts with a focus on contract value in consideration of price, quality and risk managementContinue to develop and maintain the group contract databaseResearch and develop knowledge of suppliers currently not in the Westgold supplier list that may be included in future tenders for goods and servicesContracts EOM processingContracts tendering/bid management/evaluationRecommendation for award coordinationContract handover execution planContract template review for relevanceContracted supplier performance meetings (as invited)The role includes Experience in administering group consolidated tenders for commodities and servicesExtensive experience in a commodity/service tendering and contract execution environmentProven and extensive experience in negotiationPrevious on-site experience (desirable)Ability to influence at all levelsGood understanding and working knowledge of contract law, contract structure and terminologyAbility to draft and evaluate commercial contracts using approved company templatesAdvanced project management skills (as applied to bid management)Excellent communication skills including report writing and verbal communicationProven attention to detail and ability to analyse and resolve problemsResilient and self-managing with the ability to work autonomouslyCollaborative approach driving business resultsWhat do I need?
