Recognised as a family friendly and flexible workplace environment, we are open to the successful applicant working full-time or part-time (22.8 or 30.4 hours per week).
We also offer a hybrid model of working remotely from home and meeting with consumers in their natural surroundings or within our offices in Warragul.As a Windermere Occupational Therapist, you will:Deliver a broad range of evidence informed intervention strategies, standardised assessments and parent training to increase communication and active participation in social and educational settings for children;Undertake face to face consultation and relationship building in natural environments, schools and kindergartens as well as our modern office facilities and therapy spaces;Liaise and collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to design and deliver comprehensive support plans;Provide key worker support and advice to families and children in relation to speaking, listening, understanding language, fluency and social skills.Desired Skills and ExperienceTo succeed in this role:You are confident and enthusiastic with a 'can-do' attitude.

You are adaptable and resilient and thrive in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement of your practice ensures you make a real and lasting difference to the lives of your consumers.Technical Skills & Professional Experience:You will have a tertiary qualification within Occupational Therapy and hold a current registration with AHPRA.
Furthermore, you will have specialist knowledge and relevant demonstrated OT experience within a paediatric practice.Key Selection CriteriaTertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy with current and ongoing registration with AHPRASound theoretical knowledge, ideally with a minimum of 2 years discipline specific clinical experience, with particular reference to paediatric practice 0-12 yearsDemonstrated knowledge of typical development and common conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy and developmental delayKnowledge and skills in the assessment, intervention and evaluation services for children & familiesDemonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as work independently, including office-based or remote off-site locationsDemonstrated ability to effectively manage use of time in a fast-paced, complex service environment in order to meet service KPIs and provide a consumer-focused, high-quality and responsive serviceDemonstrated knowledge in the assessment and prescription of assistive technologyAbility to use a computer and all relevant technologyWillingness to promote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible.Willingness to undertake relevant pre-employment screening and checks- including NDIS worker screening check, Police Check, Pre-Employment Medical and Working with Children's checkRight to Work in Australia e.g.
