DAF is a modern technologically advanced European truck, manufactured by Paccar, who are the parent company of Kenworth trucks.
We are part of the CMV Group, a South Australian family-owned business which has been operating for over 90 years and now employs over 2,000 employees across South Australia and Victoria.
About the role Working in a modern well-equipped workshop we are seeking self-motivated and highly skilledHeavy Vehicle Diesel Technicians.We are a values-based organisation so we only want the right candidates.
Those who display acan doattitude, those who considersafety a priorityand those who arerespectfuland supportive of one another.The role will rotate through the different repair teams in the workshop so that there is variety and experience in both product and mechanical skills.
Duties & responsibilities Repair mechanical parts of vehicles such as engine, transmission and suspension systems Ensure all accessories requested on repair orders are fitted and completed Identify and advise of any additional work required Test drive / complete inspections of work in accordance with Service Check Sheet Produce clear and concise report detailing all work carried out on repair orders including supplies used and recommendations in a prioritised order Skills & Experience Mechanical trade certificate Experience in Heavy Vehicle industry beneficial but not essential Demonstrated ability to produce high quality workmanship on time and within budget.
Ability to work unsupervised and within a dynamic team coupled with good presentation and communication skills Current HC/HR drivers licence would be an advantage To the right candidate we will offer Extensive in house training – plus the opportunity to upskill to dual trade qualifications.
