This job offer is not available in your country.Sydney CBDSupport the Actuarial Team in data analysis to make decisionsMultiple Permanent Full-time Positions, Sydney CBD locationHybrid working environment, attractive salary packageAbout the RoleProvide support and analysis for the Actuarial Team to enable icare to operate in a sustainable financially sound manner.A corporate wellbeing program with subsidised gym membership, free flu vaccinations and health check programs17.5% annual leave loadingComprehensive learning and development support aligned to icare's Core Capabilities.Our People Awards - On-the-spot Recognition, Quarterly Values Awards & Our People Annual AwardsAccess to our Employee Assistance ProgramDutiesIt's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as an Actuarial Analyst you will:Continue to learn and apply actuarial and analytical skills to corporate analytical assignments to provide effective support to the Actuarial TeamUndertake analysis under the guidance of senior actuarial staff that improves the understanding of icare's performanceProvide support to projects that involve analysis of data and trends.Communicate complex actuarial and analytical modelling and the results of analysis to the actuarial teamMonitor, evaluate and report on the performance of the entities within icare across the entire actuarial control cycleManage workload and deliver outcomes in accordance with timeframes specifiedDevelop and maintain knowledge of the relevant legislation, industry trends, business processes and actuarial requirements for the entities under icareSkills & ExperienceTertiary qualifications at degree level in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant field which satisfies the requirements of Part I of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia's actuarial education programAbility to develop and maintain actuarial valuation and pricing models to estimate general insurance liabilities for long tail claimsProficiency in analytics and communication tools such as SAS, R, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other valuation softwareExcellent report writing and presentation skills to succinctly present key findingsAbility to work both independently and as part of a collaborative teamPlease provide your Transcript under Supporting Documents when applyingCultureWe know our strength comes from the diversity of our people and would encourage people with different experiences and backgrounds to apply.We are committed to our people's development so the people of NSW can thrive.About the CompanyWe care for the people of NSW, building confidence and trust so our communities can thrive.
