The Position
The Structural Engineer (SE) for Above Group shall contribute and support the Engineering efforts for the Firm.
The SE shall possess a bachelor's degree in Civil engineering, and a master's degree with a structural emphasis or equivalent, from an ABET accredited institution.
This individual shall directly contribute to the Firm and its success through the application of knowledge and technical experience to effectively produce a quality design and ultimate product to the customer.
The SE is also responsible for contributing to the growth of the team by leading and mentoring subordinate staff in expanding their capabilities and contributions.
The SE shall execute design duties as required to ensure quality is always maintained.
The SE shall be a Structural Engineer registered as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and a licensed Structural Engineer (SE) passing the 16 hours NCEES exam, in the United States and/or its territories, at a minimum.
Additional credentials are encouraged and desired.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops and implements design criteria and system designs from concept through detailed design and construction.
Collaborates with and mentors subordinate staff regarding their responsibilities on a daily basis.
Implements criteria and researches applicable codes, and investigates structural systems.
Coordinates and implements the structural system with other team members within the discipline, as well as project team members in other disciplines.
Produces field reports and punch lists.
Uses excellent writing skills to author basis of design (BOD) narratives, design criteria documents, feasibility studies, and other high-quality technical documents as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience (post degree) Professional Engineering (PE) License and (SE) License Current/Active NCEES registration in good standing Operational Experience in both REVIT and AutoCAD Excellent Communication skills, both oral and written This is a remote position or can be a hybrid position for local candidates who desire to work in an office environment U.S.
