Our work will take you in different directions. We're looking for 2 x Mechanical Fitters to join our high performing Service Major Repairs team in Melbourne, Victoria. This role will cover Melbourne suburbs within a 50km radius and sometimes regional Victoria. This role will work mainly on lifts with occasional work to be carried out on escalators. No two days are the same as you manage the equipment installation of KONE's elevator products, across low-rise housing through to the world's tallest skyscrapers.
What will you be doing? Repairing elevators and sometimes escalators. Replacing ropes and bearings and condition monitoring of them. Mechanical fault finding. Carrying out all activities in accordance with KONE policies and procedures including health, quality and safety standards. Liaising with the Management team on site progress and activities. Working to actively maintain customer relationships in the local region. What are we looking for? 3+ years lift industry experience preferred. Qualified Certificate 111 in Mechanical Engineering required. Trade tickets desired: basic Dogging, basic Rigging. Basic computer knowledge to manage their field tool on their mobile phone. Motivated and self-starter who can manage workload and competing priorities. Commitment to working safely with a strong focus on quality. A customer service mindset.
