Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Industrial Sewer with a focus on microfibre materials to join our client's team.
This role involves sewing and assembling microfibre components used in fire protection gear and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with specialized fabrics and a strong understanding of fire protection product requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Operate industrial sewing machines to sew, hem, and assemble microfibre materials for fire protection gear and equipment.
Follow technical patterns, blueprints, and sewing instructions to ensure products meet safety and performance standards.
Adjust machine settings and thread tension to work with different microfibre fabrics, ensuring durability and compliance with fire protection specifications.
Inspect finished products for quality, safety, and adherence to performance standards.
Maintain and clean sewing machines regularly to ensure proper functionality.
Collaborate with the production team to address any issues and meet production deadlines.
Maintain a safe and organized work area in accordance with safety regulations.
Qualifications: Proven experience as an Industrial Sewer with expertise in microfibre materials, preferably in a fire protection or safety equipment context.
Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and understanding their functions.
Knowledge of microfibre fabrics, including their handling and fire-resistant properties.
Ability to read and interpret technical patterns and instructions specific to fire protection products.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, compliant work.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move materials  Capable of standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
