About your new company We are seeking a qualified Senior Engineer with expertise in Gas Gathering, Piping, or Buried Services to join our HDPE Gas Gathering Project for a leading contractor supply service to the energy sector in the Surat Basin.
This role involves overseeing various aspects of construction, including Civil, Welding, Live Excavations, Tie-ins, Testing, and Commissioning, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities: Quality Control and Documentation: Oversee quality control procedures to ensure construction adheres to blueprints and specifications.
Perform inspections of materials and workmanship, identifying and addressing deviations.
Maintain accurate construction records, including daily logs, inspection reports, and change orders.
Collaborate with inspectors to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
Additional Responsibilities: Participate in the procurement of materials and equipment.
Manage subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Attend project meetings and provide updates on progress and potential issues.
Assist with project closeout activities, including final inspections and documentation.
Qualifications: To be considered for this opportunities, you will need to meet the following criteria: Technical Skills: 3-5 years of experience in construction supervision or a related field.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Excellent project management, planning, and scheduling skills.
Soft Skills: Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to motivate and guide teams.
Proficient in construction documentation and recordkeeping practices.
Strong commitment to safety and ability to enforce safe work practices on-site.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
Ideally, you will have experience in servicing similar projects within the Oil, Gas or energy sectors with a passion for delivering high quality projects on time and to budget.
