Job Description
Paint, maintain and repair painted, wall-covered, stained and varnished surfaces of building structures, rooms, furniture and equipment throughout the hotel and facilities.Prepare and paint surfaces using techniques and tools including, but not limited to, measuring surfaces, mixing paint, matching paint and using brushes, rollers and spray-guns.Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces.Maintain and repair caulked, grouted, wood and masonry surfaces requiring staining, varnishing and lacquering.Liaise with individual departments and the Senior Duty Technician in relation to work requirements.Plan and prioritise jobs to ensure deadlines are met.Completion of set daily tasks.Liaise with the Housekeeping Manager/Senior Duty Technician or designate to ensure that all equipment is maintained and in good working order.Carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the Hotels' Property Management System (PMS).Record all tasks performed, both complete and incomplete.Primarily perform tasks relevant to experience and trade, and any other tasks as required or requested by Management and Supervisors.Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of paint, varnish, stain, enamels, lacquers, wall coverings, masonry work and other related products as well as application and mixing procedures of such products.Previous experience working in hotel/resort/hospitality settings is preferred.Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including small hand tools.Good levels of written and spoken English.Additional Information
