The role : We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to join our Mackay team and take on a leadership role in our site Laboratory.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the laboratory ensuring high quality service to our customers.
Your day to day will include but is not limited to : Instrumentation operation and troubleshootingCalibration and quality system experienceParticipating in ongoing process improvement programsRostering staff and scheduling work to ensure client requirements are met in terms of timeliness and qualityWhat's needed? Experience in coal sampling, laboratory, and analysis proceduresSupervisory experience preferably in a laboratory environmentWorking knowledge of laboratory testsA QLD C Class manual drivers license and own transportEducation Requirements : Higher School Certificate and work experience, or Associate Diploma in Applied Science, Chemistry, or equivalentDegree in Chemistry desirableSafety is an absolute.
Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions, include COVID vaccinations, will be a requirement of working on site.
Must live locally in the Mackay region.
