Payroll Compliance Specialist

The company: Your new employer is a market leader in its field, with operations across the Asia-Pacific region.
They have grown steadily organically and through acquisition and currently employ nearly 4,000 staff under one award.
They recently implemented a new Payroll system that went live earlier in 2024.
A newly created position for a Payroll Compliance specialist is now available to ensure ongoing accuracy across their Payroll function.
The role: As the Payroll Compliance specialist, it's your job to guard against any errors created within the Payroll system, before they hit an employee's bank account.
You will analyze large amounts of data against the award rules to ensure the system has been interpreted correctly.

You step in and save the day
Key duties will include:
Extract, analyze and interpret large data sets, identifying and rectifying inconsistencies and driving improved quality and integrity.Undertake audit investigations with a strong focus on data, reporting, and document management.Thorough recording and storage of data, process documentation and investigation evidence.Be the system reporting and data 'go-to' person by assisting with internal and external audit processes.Support the development of governance, frameworks and systems that enable sustainable, strong IR compliance are ongoing.Support change management/remedial actions immediately and ongoing.Supporting wage & entitlement compliance projects by producing essential data and reports to support solutions and actions.Drive the application of and compliance with internal policies, procedures and adherence to relevant industrial laws and industrial instruments as relates to payroll, FWA, EA, and other regulatory requirements.Partner with key stakeholders, providing thorough, organised and accurate recording and storage of extracts and process documentation.About you: So, what makes a killer Payroll Compliance Specialist?
Well, you probably identify as a bit of a numbers geek, who's a little bit obsessed with accuracy and perfection (I can already imagine how tidy your desk is).
You possess an insanely high level of Excel skill, and love nothing more than crunching numbers to find an error, ESPECIALLY in Payroll.
You've also had the experience of interpreting a Payroll award at some stage in your career to date.
You're a natural problem solver with incredibly HIGH attention to detail.
If you want to utilize your numbers OCD and love geeking-out over spreadsheets, I need to hear from you
This is a permanent role in a company that boasts an AMAZING company culture, where fun & good times are actively encouraged.
The role is paying between $110k - $130k + Super, depending on your previous levels of Payroll Compliance experience.
