The brand's flagship Australian hotel, located in Sydney's idyllic harbourside suburb of Woolloomooloo.
Nestled in the heart of the popular wharf precinct, a short walk to the city's central business district, the hotel is surrounded by a wide selection of much-loved dining and nightlife options.
Ovolo Woolloomooloo features 100 guest rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, meeting rooms and events spaces, a swimming pool, and Woolloomooloo Bar.
The Gig... As the Hotels Maintenance Handy Person, you will be the go-to for any servicing or repairs the hotel may require.
You will work independently, along with department managers to ensure the hotel is in top shape.
As a hotel maintenance worker, your job duties are to inspect and repair various energy systems, such as the heating and cooling systems, plumbing, lighting, and kitchen equipment.
You also assist with repairing floors, roofs, and doors and installing new products, such as windows, carpets, and light fixtures.
Consistent use of tools and equipmentTaking all measures to ensure health and safety standards are upheldConverse, socialise and engage with other departments to determine needs of the hotelInspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standardsArrange routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobby and facilitiesAct fast in response to emergency situationsManage relationships and liaise with contractors & service providersMaintain budgets, expenses & activity logsAnd most import... As our Maintenance Handy Person, you will ideally have previous experience as a maintenance person in hotels or similar establishments.
You will have great interpersonal skills which will allow you to build relationships with other departments, contractors and third parties.
You will also bring knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
You won't be afraid to get your hands dirty, and you will drive through your daily tasks with great enthusiasm
