About the position We are seeking a part-time Junior School Classroom and specialist Art teacher who is a dedicated and creative educator specializing in teaching Art to young children. Working with our Junior School students in setting and fostering their creativity, self-expression, and confidence through artistic activities, this position will involve the design and delivery of engaging lesson plans and working with students to develop their creative, communication, and teamwork skills. This position requires a passion for Art and a strong ability to connect with and inspire young learners.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Appropriate qualification and current registration as a teacher. A passion in and demonstrated curriculum knowledge of applicable subject areas. Demonstrated effective delivery of teaching and learning programs. A commitment to professional development. Excellent personal communication, administrative and organisational skills. Commitment to student wellbeing and child safety, demonstrating an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children, including children with diverse needs and backgrounds. Strong skills in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT), especially as they relate to teaching and learning. Commitment to co-curricular activities.
