Role Overview:
As our Merchandiser/Buyer, you will ensure your category is creative, aligns with market trends, and consumer insights.
You will execute strategies to drive product development, sales, and profitability.
Moreover, as a merchandiser/buyer, you will love the creative process of developing Mood Boards, developing photoshoots with the Marketing department, and styling our showroom to ensure it is a vibrant, inviting space.
This is a role for an experienced person who loves overseas travel and working in a close creative team.
Key Responsibilities: Category Management:
Develop and execute category strategies to drive sales and profitability.
Analyze market trends and consumer insights to optimize product assortments.Buying:
Manage the buying process, including overseas travel and supplier negotiations ensuring product availability aligns with market demand and company goals.Product Development:
With your eye for design and styling, produce mood boards and buying guides aligned with CL&L's look and feel, ensuring CL&L's brand and product development continues to be innovative and creative.
Oversee the product category lifecycle from concept to launch.Creative Styling & Concept Development:
Collaborate with Marketing and Buying to assist in the development of looks for each season and direct styling for photoshoots, ensuring consistency in the brand's look and feel that resonates with customers and elevates the brand image.Trend & Product Curation:
Stay on top of interior trends to keep our displays fresh and relevant.
Select pieces that align with the latest trends and boost customer engagement.Collaboration & Support:
Work with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to understand key items and bring them into your displays.
Join planning sessions to brainstorm ideas that promote sales and marketing goals.Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience in category management, buying, and product development in the furniture and homewares industry, ideally within a lifestyle brand.An eye for styling, colour, and proportion for curating product development, styling, and merchandising room sets.Strategic planning experience and strong analytic and product development skills.Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp) for creating mood boards.Supplier and Project management skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.Passion for interior design and staying updated on trends.Collaboration and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.Why Join Us?
