Senior Occupational Therapist / Team Leader Location: Greater Western Sydney
Salary: Up to $115k + Super + Salary Packaging
Position Summary
In this team leader position, you will oversee a dedicated team of allied health professionals and work directly with clients in day programs, home environments, and clinic settings.
Your role will encompass a mix of client caseload management and clinical leadership to ensure high-quality, evidence-based service delivery that aligns with the organisation's strategic objectives.
You'll also work closely with senior management to drive growth, expand services, and provide innovative solutions in line with the NDIS framework.
Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of clients with disabilities and complex needs, conducting assessments, program planning, and equipment prescription (e.g., seating, mobility, transport safety, self-care).
Develop, implement, and review person-centred, holistic intervention programs to meet clients' individual needs.
Provide clinical leadership and support to allied health staff and students, fostering best practices and high-quality service delivery.
Act as a resource to management, contributing to strategic planning and the growth of the Allied Health team.
Collaborate with internal teams (Support Coordination, Day Programs, Supported Independent Living) and external disability sector networks to support client outcomes.
Represent the team in relevant internal and external forums, promoting partnerships and advocacy within the community.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, with current AHPRA registration.
Minimum of 3 years' experience working with individuals with disabilities and complex needs, including specialised intervention strategies.
Proven experience with NDIS frameworks, including planning, implementation, and review processes.
Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, with the ability to supervise and mentor a team effectively.
Strong skills in assessment, intervention planning, and program development with a person-centred approach.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, families, and team members.
Current First Aid Certificate, NSW Driver's Licence, and Working with Children and NDIS Worker Screening checks.
