Core Banking Program Director (Strategy, Cloud SAAS)Skip to contentA specialist bank is seeking an experienced Program Director to lead the replacement of their core banking platform. This high-impact role requires someone with deep expertise in core banking systems, platform integration, and the ability to navigate both technical and business challenges. Following the successful migration, you will spearhead solution-led transformation initiatives to optimise the new platform and drive the bank's digital strategy forward.Key Responsibilities:Lead the end-to-end migration of a major cloud-based core banking platform, ensuring seamless integration across all business and IT functionsMulti $50-100M ++ P&LManage complex stakeholder relationships, finessing communication between technical teams, business leaders, and external vendors to ensure project successNavigate challenges related to regulatory requirements, data governance, and process optimisation during the platform transitionDevelop and execute a long-term roadmap for future enhancements and solution-led transformations once the new platform is in placeDrive the transformation from a business perspective, aligning IT architecture with overall business goals and regulatory standardsWork closely with vendor technical SMEs to ensure alignment with the bank's vision and needs, even if specific product experience (Temenos, Finacle, Mysis, etc.) is not a major requirementEnsure the successful delivery of the project while managing risks, budgets, timelines, and resourcesSkills & Experience:Proven experience in delivering large-scale core banking platform transformations, ideally within cloud-based environmentsExperience with core banking systems (e.g., Temenos, Finacle, Mysis) or major payments platforms, though specific product expertise is not requiredStrong understanding of the business, regulatory, and data governance challenges associated with core banking migrationsAbility to engage and influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams in a high-pressure environmentA strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical roadmapsExposure to working in a consulting or vendor environment is a plusExperience in managing projects within the banking, insurance, or capital markets sectors is highly desirableWhat's on Offer:Long terms contractFlexible working arrangements with remote options availableThe opportunity to become a key player in one of the most critical banking transformations, with significant scope to upskill and position yourself as a leader in core banking migrationsA positive, collaborative work environment with a focus on innovation and strategic growth
