Brooks – Laboratory Automation Solutions, specialise in the design and manufacture of compact, innovative benchtop automation for optimising pre- and post-analytical workflows in pathology and analytical laboratories, and has installations worldwide.
We are searching for our next Manufacturing Engineer as we accelerate our growth journey.
What you'll do : Ensure Manufacturing operates consistently by troubleshooting any production or supply issues.Continuously improve and optimise existing production processes to ensure efficient operation.
This includes defining workflow, equipment needs, and implementation strategies for production scaling.Ensure that product designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.Participate in design reviews to identify any potential production issues early in the development phase.Prepare and take ownership of detailed documentation for manufacturing processes and product specifications.
This includes creating process maps and work instructions.Implement quality control processes during the production phase.
Work closely with the quality department to set up inspection criteria and procedures.Analyse and optimise production costs, including materials, labor, and overheads.
Work to minimize costs while maintaining product quality.Train production staff on processes and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting.Ensure all product and process implementations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the product.Identify potential risks in the production process and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.What you'll bring : Relevant tertiary Engineering qualifications in a related discipline (Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar).5+ years experience in the manufacture of small to medium mechatronic devices.Proven ability to meet pre-determined timeframes.Be adaptable with the ability to diagnose and solve problems.A strong communicator, capable of building effective relationships with multidisciplinary teams at all levels of the organization.Capable of working directly and effectively with external suppliers.Strong knowledge of production processes and equipment.Previous experience with purchasing / sourcing would be an advantage.Experience with CAD (PTC CREO).An eye for detail.A solutions-oriented focus.Demonstrable ability to work autonomously and consistently deliver results.Experience working within an ISO 13485 Quality System is desirable.A strong team player, mentor and coach for junior colleagues.What we offer : Exciting career opportunities await you in a growing company.An opportunity to be part of a passionate and motivated team.With your ideas and your input, you can have a decisive influence on our success and play a leading role in this.You will receive an attractive salary.Flexible working arrangements.Access to health and wellness programs.You will receive a detailed induction.Brooks Automation is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
