We're looking for an experienced Events Manager to join our team with the Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA).
This role offers the chance to lead, coordinate, and deliver an exciting calendar of events that will leave a lasting impact on attendees.
About the Role From concept to completion, you'll be at the helm of every event's planning and execution, ensuring it's on time, on brand, and on budget.
You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to bring our events to life.
Some interstate travel is required.
Key Responsibilities Event Scheduling & Planning: Provide expert advice on the annual event schedule, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and strategic priorities.Venue Management: Secure and manage venue bookings, negotiating contracts and maintaining positive vendor relationships.Registration Management: Coordinate the online event registration process, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees and effective data collection.Publicity & Communications: Collaborate with the communications team to create and execute event promotion strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and attendance.Travel & Accommodation Coordination: Liaise with travel coordinators to manage airfares, hotel bookings, and other logistical arrangements for event participants.Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage event budgets, ensuring all events are delivered within financial constraints while maintaining quality and impact.About You You're an experienced event professional with a proven track record of planning and executing high-impact events.
You thrive in fast-paced environments, have excellent organisational skills, and know how to bring together multiple moving parts to deliver a seamless experience.

Key Skills & Attributes Event Expertise: Demonstrated experience in end-to-end event management, including scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.Strong Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to liaise with internal teams, external suppliers, and event participants.Project Management: Ability to manage multiple events concurrently, juggling priorities with precision and ease.Problem Solver: Resourceful and solutions-focused, able to anticipate challenges and address them before they escalate.Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with online event registration platforms, CRM systems, and budgeting tools.Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail to ensure nothing is missed and every event runs smoothly.Why Join Us?
