The Acute Care Team at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications for a Mental Health Clinician to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your opportunity The position will be based in Mackay as part of the Acute Care Team.
The position will provide Intake/triage, assessment, and crisis management functions as part of the Mackay Division of Mental Health Acute Care Team.
The position will work a varied roster 7 days a week with RDO accrual.
The position works all shifts (morning, afternoon, and night shifts).The position provides a competent standard of clinical care through the provision of specialist triage/intake, assessment, and short-term crisis care services to persons who suffer from a mental disorder within the Mackay Integrated Mental Health Network.About the Team The Acute Care Team is the first point of contact to public mental health services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Team will undertake triage and may facilitate the referral of the consumer to a more appropriate internal and/or external service such as a community mental health team, an alcohol and drug service, or primary health care.

The district covers an area of approximately 90,000 km² and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine, and Sarina.
