DescriptionOxford Economics Australia is a leading research and consultancy firm with a strong reputation for delivering cutting-edge economic insights and consultancy services. As one of the fastest-growing organizations in its sector, achieving over 20% annual growth for the past decade, we are now looking to expand our dynamic team with a Marketing and Business Development Intern. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business development, strategy, and client relationship management while contributing to our continued success.
The primary focus of this internship is to support the growth of our subscription business globally. Reporting to the Business Development team, you will promote Oxford Economics subscription services. The role involves conducting outbound lead generation, maintaining CRM systems, assisting with sales processes, and contributing to marketing initiatives.
You will work closely with internal teams, including marketing and client services, to manage client engagement and support business growth initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales and Lead Generation Compile lists of leads and delegate them to the Business Development team.Coordinate outreach via email campaigns and internet research.Identify key prospects, including companies, individuals, and teams, and establish relationships with them.Prepare market penetration strategies for new services.Develop commercial proposals in collaboration with managers.CRM Management and Analysis Maintain and update the Salesforce CRM system, including data entry, cross-checking, and setting up trial notifications.Ensure accurate contact details for new leads and prospects and build comprehensive lead lists.Generate reports and develop tools to monitor and evaluate sales and marketing efforts.Campaign planning, drafting and preparation of the multi touchpoints (to be validated/sent by responsible BD).Marketing Support Draft online marketing content and email campaigns.Contribute to the development of regional marketing plans and event organization. Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Self-starter with a strong drive to set and achieve ambitious goals.Team player who adapts well to change and embraces new approaches.Eye for detail and accuracy.Desired Background in business, management, or marketing (Bachelor's or Master's level), preferably 2nd or 3rd year university students.Interest in a career in sales, marketing, or other commercial roles.Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Effective problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
