Fantastic opportunity to join a growing business and work on FX trading systems.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Engineer to join a start-up business and drive the development of cutting-edge low-latency FX trading systems.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-performance, mission-critical environment where every millisecond counts.
You'll collaborate with a talented team of developers, traders, and quantitative analysts to design and implement innovative solutions for global financial markets.
Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimise low-latency Core Java applications for FX trading.Build scalable, fault-tolerant systems capable of handling high message throughput.Collaborate with traders and quants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Implement efficient algorithms and data structures to enhance system performance.Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in low-latency development and apply best practices. What We're Looking For: Proven experience developing high-performance, low-latency systems using Java.Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and memory management.Experience with network programming (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.)
and messaging systems (e.g., FIX, Kafka).In-depth knowledge of performance tuning and optimisation techniques.Familiarity with low-latency profiling tools and garbage collection optimisation.Experience in the financial services sector, particularly in FX or electronic trading, is a strong advantage.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.A passion for solving complex technical challenges in real-time environments.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small business that is looking to expand their presence here in Australia.
