Located in our Melbourne office, our Design team are looking for a Senior Designer to join the team to bring new ideas a fresh perspective and elevate our craft.
A day in the life Collaborate with the creative team to develop and execute design concepts for a variety of projects, including branding, advertising campaigns, websites, and digital campaigns.Lead design projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client objectives and brand guidelines.Generate fresh and original ideas that push creative boundaries while staying aligned with project objectives and client expectations.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, offering constructive feedback and helping them grow their skills.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies, and share insights with the team to drive innovation and excellence.How we will know you are the one? Minimum of 5 years of experience as a graphic designer or in a similar creative role, preferably in an agency setting.Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, demonstrating exceptional creativity, technical expertise, and attention to detail.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant design software.Extensive knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate and sell design concepts to clients and team members.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions.Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field (preferred, but not required).Other things that would make you excel in this role Experience in brand strategy and development, with a deep understanding of how design impacts and enhances brand identity.Proficiency in motion graphics, video editing, or UX/UI design.Knowledge of web design best practices, including responsive design and user experience optimization.Familiarity with print production processes and specifications.Experience working in a collaborative team environment, with a positive attitude and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.Who are Howatson + Company?
