This is a unique opportunity for experienced Heavy Vehicle Technicians like you to join our new team and contribute to our growth.

While Patterson Cheney Trucks is being constructed, the selected candidate will work from the Patterson Cheney Trucks location in Keysborough.

About the role:
As a Truck Reconditioning Roadworthy Technician, you will assess and recondition trucks to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards for roadworthiness.
Your expertise will ensure our customers receive reliable and safe vehicles.

Conduct thorough inspections of trucks to identify necessary repairs and maintenance for roadworthy compliance.
Prepare vehicles performing reconditioning tasks, including all mechanical repairs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake replacements.
Utilise diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve vehicle issues accurately.
Ensure all work is completed following safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
Collaborate with the workshop controller and service team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
About you:
Relevant trade qualifications and roadworthy certificate for heavy vehicles.
Experience in truck reconditioning and roadworthy inspections is preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
Valid heavy vehicle driver's license is required.
