About the role UGL's Maintenance & Manufacturing facility based in Bassendean has an opportunity for an experienced Trades Assistant to join the team.
This position will be a permanent full-time opportunity working on a rotating roster, one week dayshift 6.00 am - 2.30 pm, one week afternoon shift 1.30 pm - 10.30 pm.
Reporting to the workshop supervisor, the main purpose of this role is to assist qualified trades staff in the performance of their work in a safe and efficient manner to deliver an exceptional standard of service to our clients.
Assist tradespeople as instructed to enable work to be carried outOperate hand tools in a safe and efficient mannerAssist in maintenance and overhaul activities on a variety of componentsLabouring duties as requiredCleaning armature & stator cores for rewindEnsure active involvement in Lean practicesA strong commitment to maintaining a safety environmentAbout You Minimum 3 months experience on a maintenance site preferred but not essentialElevated Work Platform Ticket preferred but not essential'C' Class Drivers LicenseDogman ticket is highly desirableAble to perform duties, maintaining high standards in both Safety and Quality.Sound experience in a similar role assisting tradespeople in a heavy industry environmentHigh level of measuring skills and eye for detail and quality standardsStrong safety culture and attitude towards safetyWhat we offer Movement within UGL Bassendean departmentFamily friendly companyCompetitive hourly rate according to Bassendean Enterprise AgreementDiverse opportunities to grow, back yourself and achieveA chance to join a 6,000+ strong organization owned by the CIMIC Group, one of the world's leading international contractorsWhy Choose UGL?
