As a result of our strategic growth and winning projects, we are inviting talented individuals to join the McMahon Services Northern Territory team, having offices based in Darwin, Gove, Alice Springs & Katherine.

About the role: With the company showing continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Northern Territory team to work on our various projects based in NT. Reporting to the Construction Manager and Project Manager, the key objective of this role will be to manage the design, procurement and construction functions on designated project work to ensure completion within time, cost, safety and environmental constraints to achieve profit objectives.
This role is a full-time Permanent opportunity based in Darwin, Northern Territory. Relocation cost is covered for the right candidate. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of project estimates and documentationMonitor performance and re-assess efficiency and qualitySupport develop, implement and administer sub-contracts/supplier agreementsEnsure a balance between cost and production to meet project objectives and time constrictionsUnderstand daily work program and direct/allocate staff and contractorsMonitor adherence to safe work method statements and undertake risk analysisDevelop and communicate quality documentation, best work practices, standards, and expectationsSupport identifying and addressing issues before they arise, with the aptitude and flexibility for taking on new challengesSupport in timely project delivery within approved budget, monitor, and control project expendituresEnsure adherence to quality standards of the customers and the company are followedManage procurement and purchases of goods and servicesAbout you: To be successful in the role, you will need:
Tertiary engineering qualifications in Civil or Structural EngineeringConstruction White Card and Current driver's licenseAbility to obtain DCSI and Defence clearanceAbility to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fit for work assessmentCompetency in Project Management software (e.g., Microsoft Professional Suite, MS Project, Primavera), ERP systems (e.g., Pronto, SAP, Oracle e-business) and project management platforms (e.g., InEight, Aconex, Procore)Sound understanding of Australian Standards (AS)Experience in Contracts administration and managementExperience in managing construction scheduling and cost/cash flow managementAs an employer who embraces equal opportunity and diversity, we strongly encourage female, Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander people to apply.
