We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to be based at our head office at Yatala.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable process, proactively managing the team to ensure timely issuing of invoices and the collections of payments, while maintaining accurate reconciled debtor financial records.
You will be a leader in all aspects of accounts receivable and must be a mentor/coach to the team providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations.
Role & Responsibilities: Lead and manage the accounts receivable team, providing guidance, training, and support.Oversee daily accounts receivable operations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.Monitor and manage outstanding customer invoices, ensuring timely collection and following up with clients as necessary.Work closely with sales, customer service, and other internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.Prepare and analyse aging reports to track receivables and identify potential risks or issues.Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards, along with maintaining proper documentation.Develop and implement strategies to improve the accounts receivable process, including improving cash flow.Prepare and report on KPIs for the accounts receivable team, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals.Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.Stay current on accounting regulations and best practices.We are looking for: Tertiary Education in Accounting, Finance, or other related field for Accounts Receivable (preferred).5+ years' experience in Accounts Receivable or related finance roles, with at least 3+ years in a managerial capacity.Strong experience and knowledge of accounting ERP software programs and integrations between external applications e.g.
Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft AX, Sage, Netsuite or similar.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.Excellent understanding of accounts receivable processes, billing and collections for a customer database of over 15,000 customers.Experience with Customer portal environments for uploading invoices for payment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.High attention to detail and accuracy.What is in it for You?
