Life in Community (LinC) PSS participant information What is the LinC program all about?
The Life in Community (LinC) volunteer program supports people on their mental health recovery journey to engage in community activities and connect to their local community.
You will be matched with a volunteer for up to three months and meet for one to two hours per week or per fortnight in a community space.
Time spent with the volunteer is to promote community connectedness by assisting to link you to a range of social and community networks.
LinC volunteers come from a range of backgrounds, ages, experiences and some with their own lived experience of mental ill health.
All LinC volunteers have completed a police check, Working with Children Check and have received eight hours of Wellways volunteer training.The Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact with you on a regular basis to check in on you and your match
