Pre – Construction Manager10+ years experience leading pre-construction and tendering for small - large-scale construction projects across multiple new build and refurbishment sectors.Client Description:Our client is a privately owned and operated construction (new build), refurbishment, and interiors fit-out company that delivers a diverse range of projects throughout Australia.The company has grown from strength to strength since its establishment over 30 years ago.
They have completed iconic projects ranging from $1 million to over $30 million in value and have won multiple awards for many of their projects.
The company operates across many sectors including commercial, retail, government, education, aged care, residential, and industrial for both private and public sector clients.The company prides itself on its close-knit and collaborative team who take pride in the work they deliver
With an increase in new project awards in the Commercial, Automotive, Religious, Industrial, Child Care, Education, Aged care, Health care, and Governmental sectors, the business now has a need for a Pre-Construction Manager to join their already successful team.Role Responsibilities:Reporting to the Construction Director, lead all facets of the pre-construction phase.Oversee the preparation of tender documentation, submissions, and presentations.Chair and manage design development into construction phases, ensuring seamless integration.Conduct feasibility and constructability reviews, offering innovative solutions.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.Manage and organise a team of design managers, estimators, and bid coordinators.Oversee ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) processes and delivery.Ensure programme training and site audits are conducted to maintain standards.Collaborate with Business Development Managers for EOI and tender submissions.Role Requirements:Degree qualified in Construction Management or similar.10+ years' experience in a senior pre-construction or design management role.Proven expertise in design & construct methodologies, tendering, and feasibility assessments.Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring teams.Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities in client-facing scenarios.High-level proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, and project management tools.Ability to innovate, problem-solve, and deliver results under pressure.What's in it for you?Extremely lucrative and attractive salary package + bonuses.Opportunity to work with a renowned construction group on iconic projects.True work-life balance, with flexibility and autonomy in your role.Join a collaborative, innovative, and supportive team culture.Access to ongoing training, resources, and professional development.Empowerment and backing from industry-leading business owners.
