The Society recognises the value of an inclusive work environment and believes that our diversity is a strength in the work we do with our local communities.Your RoleAs the Warehouse General Hand, you will assist in the daily operation of the warehouse and perform tasks as prescribed by the Warehouse Supervisor in accordance with the Society's policies and procedures.Your ResponsibilitiesAssist with pre-sorting and sorting of stock including bric a brac, textiles, books or other items in the warehouse whilst guaranteeing a consistent level of quality.Assist in preparing bales of textiles using appropriate machinery.Perform daily equipment safety checks on the bale presses, following the safe work procedure to identify any repairs that may be needed.Assist with unloading donations/stock from incoming trucks as needed.Assist with the preparation of retail stock orders.You Will NeedExperience within a warehouse facility.Able to work as part of a team and independently.Clear and effective communication with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other team members.Physically able to perform manual tasks required of this position within a warehouse environment.Thorough knowledge of Manual Handling procedures.Flexibility in responding to changing priorities and tasks.Apply NowIf this sounds like you, don't wait - apply now, we are interviewing applications as we receive them.St Vincent de Paul Society (NSW) welcomes people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and experiences.
