The PMSA is a mission of the Presbyterian and Uniting Churches.Cotton Library is a brightly coloured, engaging space catering for the research, literacy and learning needs of Junior School staff, students and community from Pre-Prep to Year 6. The Library collection includes a broad range of print materials, games and toys to ensure students across all reading levels are supported in achieving their literacy goals and developing a joy of reading. Online databases complement these resources and assist in developing students' information literacy skills.As we implement the Primary Years Programme International Baccalaureate Programme in 2025, we are now seeking an experienced Teacher – Librarian that will collaborate with staff in the Junior School and have a strong passion for inquiry-based learning to our younger studentsThe successful candidate will teach information literacy skills to students from Pre - Prep to Year 6 whilst ensuring the literature maintains a high profile within the teaching and learning framework of the School. The teaching load is yet to be determined but will be up to a 0.60 FTE.In addition to promoting a love of literature among staff and students, this dynamic role involves organising, retrieving and circulating resources whilst overseeing the efficient day-to-day administration of the Cotton LibraryAbout YouDo you have experience and qualifications as a Teacher Librarian, specifically within a primary school setting?Are you experienced or equipped to become familiar with a Library Management System?Do you have a passion for actively promoting library services to a variety of stakeholders?Are you looking for your next career challenge to work as part of a collaborative team implementing PYP IB?If this sounds like you, we would love to receive your applicationIt is a mandatory requirement for this position that you hold a current Queensland College of Teachers Registration (QCT).Please refer to the School's website for the Teacher Librarian Position Description which outlines the application requirements and process.Applications for this position close 4.00pm, Friday 10 January 2025.Interviews will occur will in the week commencing 13 January 2025.
