Allied Credit is seeking a Test Practice Manager due to continued growth and evolution of the critical Technology Solutions function in Allied Credit.
It is a newly created governance position with primary responsibility to develop and refine test processes, methodologies, disciplines, and measurements across all technologies in the company.
Working as leader of a growing Technology Solutions Delivery team, your experience and knowledge will be integral to the development of testing strategies across multiple platforms.
You will demonstrate strong communication skills, coordinate activity across the team, and be able to collaborate with senior business stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes.
What you will be doing
Develop and refine test processes, methodologies, disciplines, and measurements across all technologies.
Actively promote testing principles and disciplines with relevant stakeholders and seek feedback on effectiveness.
Measure and report test results throughout all stages of the development life cycle.
Ensure test environments are properly established with the right tools to control and monitor end-to-end testing of applications and infrastructure.
Ensure appropriate quality and quantity of skilled people are available, by partnering with relevant managers and leaders to strategically plan capacity, recruiting, and onboarding of new team members.
Work with the development team for effective resolution of issues and defects.
Continuously assess areas for improvement and contribute to the team effort to improve performance.
Ensure work is done in compliance with Company policies and procedures and complies with external legislation.
Your background
Bachelor's Degree in IT or industry equivalent qualification.
Proven success in Test leadership positions with experience in the banking/lending industry expected.
Relevant experience in test automation procedures.
Experience in leading and growing a Test team, including coaching of inexperienced Test Analysts.
Extensive experience working in an Agile environment with demonstrable success in continuous improvement of testing practices and overarching governance.
Proven track record working with senior leaders as well as external stakeholders with ability to communicate material effectively in both written and oral forms.
A critical thinker with analytical, planning, organisational, and time management skills with the capability to coordinate activity across a team and different workflows.
